International Shipping and Import Duties
We ship worldwide from Melbourne, Australia, and we have been sending JDM parts to the US, UK, Europe, Japan and New Zealand for years. This page covers what overseas buyers need to know before ordering.
Do I pay import duty or customs charges?
You do not pay import duty or tax on top of your order. We cover it. The price you pay at checkout is the price of the order, and there is no second bill waiting at your door.
If a carrier does invoice you for import charges, do not pay it and argue with them. Send it to sales@dream-performance.com and we will handle it. That is our cost, not yours.
We declare the full sale value on every shipment. We do not mark parcels as gifts or understate value, and because we carry the duty ourselves there is no reason to.
Which carrier will ship my order?
We use Australia Post and USPS, or DHL, UPS and carriers of that standard, chosen by destination and by what is in the box. Every order is tracked and you get the tracking number as soon as the parcel is booked.
How long does international shipping take?
Most international deliveries land within 5 to 15 business days. Customs clearance is the variable, not the flight.
Baltic states, allow extra time. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania consistently hold parcels longer at clearance than the rest of Europe. Nothing is wrong when this happens, it simply takes longer, and we would rather tell you now than have you watching a tracking page that has not moved for a week.
Made to order items are cut after you order, so add production time on top. If a product page says made to order and you need it by a date, tell us before you buy and we will give you a real answer.
What currency am I charged in?
Your order is converted at the exchange rate applied at checkout. Your bank may add its own conversion margin or a foreign transaction fee on top, which is between you and your card issuer.
Dream Performance is an Australian company, so AUD is our reference currency. If a dispute ever comes up over an amount, the AUD figure is the one we work from.
Do you make left hand drive floor mats?
Most of our floor mat patterns are available in both left and right hand drive. Where a choice exists, it is selected at checkout. If your chassis is not listed or you are unsure which side you need, send us your build plate before ordering and we will cut the correct side.
How much does shipping cost?
Freight is calculated at checkout from the size and weight of what you are buying and the destination. If no shipping option appears for your address, or you would rather use your own freight account, email sales@dream-performance.com.
We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please give us a street address with someone available to sign.
What happens if my parcel is lost or delayed?
Allow up to 10 business days from dispatch before treating a parcel as missing, then get in touch and we will open an investigation with the carrier. Every order is insured for its sale value. If a parcel is genuinely lost, you get a full refund or a replacement, your choice.
Can I return an order from overseas?
International orders are covered by our standard refund policy, with extra time allowed for the return to reach us. Return freight is paid by the buyer.
Shipping to the United States
The US is our largest market outside Australia, and the duties we cover apply there in full. Nothing extra is collected on delivery, whatever the parcel is worth. If you are kitting out a freshly landed import, the fitment detail is in our guides to the R34 Skyline GT-R and the R33 Skyline GT-R.
Ask before you order
If you want the freight cost and timeframe confirmed before committing, contact us with your country and the parts you are after. We answer quickly, and we would rather sort out a fitment question upfront than deal with a return across an ocean.
